SEEDS Project

SEEDS aims to revitalize the cultivation of ancient grains, naturally resilient to climate change and pests, in Jordan, Tunisia, Egypt, and Morocco. The project combines agronomic field trials, Living Labs, and Community Working Groups for local co-creation, and a digital SEEDS Knowledge Sharing & Capacity Building Platform with four toolboxes
covering research, a recommendation system, and best agricultural practices.

Each country will also develop two prototypes of ancient grain-based foods, linking resilient agriculture to local markets, nutrition, and sustainable food systems. By integrating science, community knowledge, and digital tools, SEEDS fosters culturally grounded and resilient agrifood solutions for the MENA region.
